Who reads what (typical) Mortals, Path Ghosts, ensouled Vampires (gypsy curse) Pure Nest Vampires, Shifters, Djinn, Leviathans, … Corrupted Benny-type honor vow Corrupted (good reputation still OK) Host Angel while Grace holds Absent (Grace is on your fuel row) Angel who lost grace permanently Pure (future rites / staff hooks) Demon Mantle Corrupted (death → The Empty, not Hell desk) Constructed Absent Important splits Turning monster does not erase your spirit -- Eve retunes frequency (the Beast). Ensoulment restores Pure without making you mortal. honor_bound vows (Benny diet) do not retune frequency. Buffy import Angel the vampire is ensouled (Pure soul, vampire biology) -- not the same as a Host Angel Mantle. Sense tells (look / scan) Monsters read kin with [FREQUENCY] / [LINEAGE]. Celestials read prey with [GRACE], [SOUL], or [MANTLE]. Overwhelming true visage is not a soul label -- see help celestial.
