death -- body, spirit, and coming back A lethal drop leaves your body as a warded item in the room and turns you into a spirit. The body keeps wearing your real kit; your spirit fights with ephemeral copies of that gear (marked Celestial items you blessed with mark item stay as real carried gear). You can still move (with some sight limits); you cannot train, spar, or attack without a body. How you play 1. Untethered (~1 real minute): linger near the body. Someone living types revive <your name> (or anchor) on it -- you cannot re-anchor yourself. Type cling to refuse the road and rise as a Path Ghost (help ghost). 2. Awaiting Reaper: a Reaper is called to your body (help reaper). Revive still works until they claim you. cling still works until claim. 3. Ferry: the Reaper takes you to Heaven, Hell, or Purgatory (help planes). Body stays where it fell. On Heaven / Hell arrival the desk *clocks* your soul into the plane bank right away. 4. Check-out (~10 more minutes): Lumen / Sift / Porter restores you to your body. Logging off mid-linger still pauses revive for mortal souls. Once a Reaper is called (or you are already in Heaven / Hell / Purgatory), the queue keeps moving even as an Echo. Monster souls (Vampire, Shifter, and other Purgatory-bound natures) Logout does not leave you wandering Earth as a spirit -- the linger still runs while you are an Echo, then the Waystation pulls you (help purgatory). Decapitation or complete immolation (ignite / immolate / a flame weapon) skips the linger: your spirit goes to Purgatory at once. The body, ashes, or severed head stay on Earth. A stake still lingers so someone can try revive. If a Reaper never comes, or claims you but never finishes the ferry, a long failsafe (~3 real hours) still delivers you to the desk so you are not stuck waiting forever (help reaper).
