vessel -- leaving and taking a mortal body (Angel / Demon)

Words that matter:
vessel -- your designed mortal body while it lives (Cadence when you step out)
husk -- a dead body on the floor (designed corpse or ordinary corpse you possess)

How you play
possess -- leave your vessel, or return to it (even from another plane).
possess <name> -- ride inside a living host (eyes see only them).
possess husk inhabit a dead husk or corpse on the floor
findvessel -- where your vessel rests / who you ride.

Angels and Demons design a mortal vessel at creation (name, alive or dead, age, look, personality, and a job when alive) -- or once later with designvessel. Alive vessels keep living when you leave; dead vessels leave a named husk (corpse Item) on the floor. Gods and Reapers do not use this kit
(help god / help reaper / help omnipresence).
Two layers:
form stay in the body; reveal grace or hellfire
possess leave or return -- bare verb toggles vessel in/out
discorporate same leave as bare possess (explicit spelling)
Spirit looks like smoke (Demon) or light (Angel). While vessel-free, spiritlook <short line> sets a custom presence (120 chars) on Heaven, Hell, or Earth.
Player hosts (shared wheel)
Online player hosts share one body with Lead Driver / Active Passenger.
mind <text> private telepathy with your partner
  relinquish pass the wheel (consensual)
seize grab the wheel (Momentum + fuel; Demon hosts contest)
dream consenting host: slip into personal Heaven exile
NPC / offline hosts still use personal Heaven / Hell exile (help personal-afterlife).
Vessel blend while riding
Host meat and Mantle grace both matter in combat. Body stats (VIT/POW/RES/FIN) lean on the host; FOC/PRE/ATT stay Mantle. Vessel quality (poor/fair/perfect) scales how much the meatsuit contributes. findvessel shows the blend line.
Inhabited durability
A Mantle riding or embodying a vessel toughens it -- max lifeforce rises a bit above the mortal baseline, scaled by vessel quality (better quality, bigger bonus) and how you got in: your own living vessel gets the full bonus, a consenting foreign host gets half, a forced ride is clamped to the poor rate (plus faster vessel strain while Hell-trapped), and your own dead husk re-embodied after a KO also caps at the poor rate. score and findvessel show the current bonus.
When you leave an alive vessel, they stay in the room and go about their job and personality (Cadence). Vacant vessels show on look under their mortal name; they are not on who / Echo lists (not a login body).
While you ride them they stay hidden so the room only sees you. A dead design leaves a named husk Item instead (no Cadence life).
Needs while embodied vs vacant
While you wear the vessel, your Mantle runs fuel, homesickness, duty, and vessel strain -- not mortal grocery, sleep, wash, or fear hide
(help needs). When you step out, the vacant vessel feels ordinary hunger, thirst, sleep, and fear again until you possess. Riding a foreign host freezes that mortal's lifestyle meters so Jimmy does not grocery for you.
Travel keeps the vessel by default -- teleport, dteleport, and ordinary walking move you and your ridden host together (same idea as a God's whole-form travel). Leaving the meatsuit is a choice (possess / discorporate), not how Cadence goes home. Offline Angel Echoes rarely step out so an alive vessel can live a beat; Demon Echoes stay embodied unless a player leaves. Cadence always tries possess first to return.
If the vessel is destroyed for keeps, the Author begins rewriting another (Chuck start beat + your private tell). Check findvessel for the remake timer; possess refuses until the new vessel is placed.
Fighting your own vessel knocks them out first; finish with attack <name>
(hospital) or attack <name> lethal twice to destroy the vessel -- same post-KO finish as active players (help combat).
Angels need consent; online player hosts share the wheel unless they dream into Heaven. Demons may force online player hosts into a trapped passenger seat (mind / contested seize). While trapped, the host accrues vessel trauma -- PRE and FOC soften for a short linger after the Demon leaves, and high trauma mind-links echo [TRAUMA]. NPC hosts still exile to personal pockets. Empty corpses need no consent. While riding a host you act through their body; your fuel and Mantle stay yours. Angels can teleport vessel while free.
Death-kick: a lethal hit auto-discorporates (not mortal revive). You pay fuel, then realmhome or remain -- unless banished. Offline Echoes

Cadence back into their vessel with possess (same as typing it). Standing as a spirit with your vessel in the same room on your home plane (Angel in Heaven, Demon in Hell) reclaims it for free -- even at 0 fuel. Elsewhere, vessel quality (poor/fair/perfect) changes fuel cost and, while you are embodied, slightly nudges your train softcap (the training ceiling -- help training).
Long rides can wear quality down; consecrated Angel rest and Demon feast can ease it back -- you get a [VESSEL] tell when the band moves. Check score or findvessel for the current band. Out of fuel, use track husk for a soft lead (help track). Vessel-free spirits may enter claimed homes unless salt / devil's traps seal them (help lodging).
