needs -- lifestyle meters (full green bar = okay) Even out here, a body keeps score. Skip too many meals and your hands shake before your enemies ever do; go too long without sleep and the town notices before you do. How you play 1. needs -- see nourishment, rest, and your Path tank if any. 2. buy + eat / drink -- food and water (or a free tap / kettle / fridge). 3. wash / shower -- hygiene rooms. 4. rest / sleep -- recover rest (help lodging | help exhaustion). 5. watch / read / hangout -- leisure and company (help leisure). One rule for every needs bar: full bar tinted green means you are okay; empty bar tinted red (with !! when critical) means trouble. Labels are satisfaction words -- nourishment, hydration, rest, and so on -- so a full bar never means "full of the problem." Path tanks (Blood, Grace, …) use the same rule. Screenreader mode drops the bars and keeps the phrases. Roughly, for a normal day Nourishment seeks about three times a game-day, hydration a little more often, and rest for offline Echoes after about twelve game-hours -- sooner if you train, fight, or hike hard. Being outdoors (especially in summer) burns thirst faster. Hunger and thirst track game-hours, not wall-clock minutes. Two meters worth knowing about Obligation -- empties when you neglect the people who matter (time apart from preferred packmates). Refills when you reunite or finish a hunt together (help beckon | help follow | help cadence). Belonging -- empties away from home. Comfort radiates a few rooms from your stamped house (or your home plane). Faith Gods also ease belonging in their consecrated chapel (help consecrate). Embodied Angels/Demons get vessel ease near a Host desk instead (help vessel). Different kind of character? Vampire -- Blood tank on needs (food/water hidden); water is refused. Leviathan / Djinn / Ghost -- Path tanks; grocery meters hidden. Celestial -- Grace / Soul / Devotion / Passage; skip mortal sleep/wash/leisure. Shifter -- still eats/drinks; Instinct is a separate Path tank. True form -- revealed Mantles refuse mortal fare until form settles. Townsfolk and Echoes run the full loop day to day; online players mainly feel leisure meters and rest. Critical belonging or spent stamina sends Echoes home -- but an open board mission still comes first unless food, water, rest, or cleanliness is critical. Staff: needs <name> and needs debug dump meters for diagnosis (help diagnostics).
