Keep practicing; extra success banks Growth instead of more stat (help training | help breaking). Heartbeat -- one pulse of the game clock (a game tick). Combat cooldowns and heat count in heartbeats, not wall-clock seconds. Cadence -- the living-town loop. NPCs and offline Echoes walk, work, eat, and get in trouble while you are away (help cadence). Echo -- your character's body after logout. It stays in the world; nobody loots it for going to sleep (help echo).
