breaking -- stepping into the next Tier When a primary hits the training ceiling for your current Tier (softcap), keep practicing. Success banks Growth. When Growth fills, the Break fires on its own -- you do not type a break command. The room sees it. How you play 1. train <activity> or spar until a primary hits its Tier ceiling. 2. Keep training and fighting -- Growth builds (score header climbs distant → stirring → cresting → ready). Real NPC fights also drip training each round (help combat). 3. At the threshold: Tier +1, Growth resets, ceilings rise. 4. Rotate drills, spars, and real fights so Growth keeps landing (help training | help sparring). The first two walls are the old climb (Mortal then Empowered). From Ascendant up, each Break wants a lot more Growth -- home-plane floors climb closer to gym pace and will not skip those rungs in a weekend. Offline Echoes can hit softcaps; the Break itself waits until you reconnect or type idle off. While you are present (not idle), a Break always tells you and the room. Organic climb stops at Tier 4. Apex (Tier 4 endgame) After softcap + Growth at the Primordial wall, a deeper pool opens. Training, fights, and Origin floors (home plane, flock, feeds) then bank very slow apex growth (score shows feel bands, not raw numbers). Tiny primary gains past about 200 can still happen. The ordinary Growth bank freezes at the wall -- it does not keep racing. See also: help tiers | help score | help training | help echo
