atlas -- America Overland map

The atlas is the country map. drive (or taxi) is how you travel it.

How you play
  1. atlas America Overland map that fits your screen (@ = you). No more-prompt.
  2. drive <place> or drive 44 32 tile cruise to any named city or landmark (drive seattle, drive asylum, drive orchard), or two atlas numbers with a space (no parentheses). Add two more numbers (drive 44 32 3 7) to land on an exact wilderness sub-tile (0-9 each) instead of the gate center
  3. atlas <place> same as drive <place> (old habit still works)
Or taxi <place> without a car. scenic / slow / cruise tokens still work on drive (flavor). If the route needs any off-road driving, the first attempt warns you -- type the same command with offroad to accept (drive seattle offroad).
Drive lebanon|bunker|asylum|orchard|seattle|home|origin|den|ash garage|… still works. Arrive STILL ABOARD.
Long drives follow the interstates instead of cutting through the wild whenever a road exists. Sighted players with config map on also see the planned route highlighted on the atlas; screenreader / config map off get the text warning only.
park / stop / leave cancel cruise (leave = climb out onto that tile's 10-by-10 wilderness).

You stay in the car at the destination. Type leave to climb out, or n/s/e/w / enter to keep driving (help vehicles). Owned rides: drive home parks in your home garage (or curbside on your street). drive origin / drive den (shifters) / drive crypt (vampires) land at your Earth Path home curb -- cars park outside, then leave and walk in. Heaven, Hell, Purgatory, and the Empty cannot be driven; type stuck for a rescue hop.

@ marks you on the map wherever you actually are -- overland, aboard, on foot, or inside a town/dungeon. Yellow = | / \ + pieces are interstates (I-5 through I-95); city letters sit on that web. Screenreader / config map off: size and coordinates, no glyphs.

Mudlet side window (same camera as atlas): Package Manager, install MortalsAndMonsters, reconnect, then type atlas. mmgui or rfmap redraws the side window and still prints this camera. See help mudlet.
