scavenge -- harvest unburied bodies (meat, blood, dead man's blood, loot)

Pike and other scavengers strip corpses for trade goods. Players use the same helpers -- immersion parity, not an NPC-only shortcut. Bitter (the peaceful sewer Wendigo) races the same piles with feast and destroys what he eats (help feast) -- harvest loses when Carrion gets there first.

How you play
  1. scavenge <body> -- one step: nested loot first, else meat or blood
butcher <body> -- strip meat and organs once
  2. drain <body> -- fill one bag of blood once
  3. tap <body> / scavenge dmb <body> -- one vial of dead man's blood (not from vampire husks; help dmb)
  4. siphon <body> -- Djinn only: fill one vial of essence once
  5. harvest <body> -- Special Child only: croatoan vial from stained husks
  6. get <item> from <body> -- take a named belonging
  7. loot / loot <body> -- take all nested belongings from a corpse (see 'help loot')
  8. sell <item> -- fence ordinary goods to a vendor here (need-tagged pay + restock; salvage reagents pay a premium; other gear fences for about half its shop or mod value -- see help gear)
sell <n> <item> / sell all <item> -- fence that many matching copies (example: sell 5 oak stake; sell all bag of blood)
sell <n> fiber|wood|ore|leather -- fence a stack of gather materials in one trip (example: sell 50 fiber)
sell all backpack -- fence everything in your worn loot pack (skips goods the desk refuses)
  9. mail ship Curio Lux <item> -- at the Post Office, consign rare salvage to the traveling salesman (pawn desks also forward rare / magi / hunter combat kit to him when you sell)
 10. pickpocket <name> -- lift wallet cash (wanted when witnessed)
 11. gear -- list your job kit bag (salt, scraps, bandages, …)

Rules:
  * Only unburied bodies. Harvest does not destroy the corpse -- bury still works, and a spirit can still self-anchor (help death).
  * One meat / one grocery blood bag / one dead man's blood vial / one essence siphon per body. Nested loot empties as you take it.
  * Salvage reagents auto-stow into your gear bag (help gear).
  * Cadence scavengers (Pike in Lebanon, Dot in Lawrence) also scoop abandoned floor clutter -- severed heads, spilled kill salvage, dropped junk -- once it has sat a few minutes. They walk the sewers (evil ground) for trophy piles, then fence ordinary goods the same way players sell. Mythic artifacts, furniture, lockboxes, and the vault under Lucifer's Cage are left alone (Cage clutter crumbles on its own).
  * Severed heads go to the sewer parts lab, not the pawn shop: Doc Benton under Lebanon (west of Sewer West 11) and Merrick under Lawrence (west spur north terminus). sell a head in the lab -- they pay salvage rates and the trophy vanishes into their work. Ordinary vendors refuse heads. Abandoned heads that scavengers miss eventually soften into the brick on their own.
  * sell shares the Cadence fence path: a bag of blood or vial of essence restocks your town Nest bartender's finite shelf (Nix in Lebanon, Gil Stevens in Lawrence); scrap meat can stock Chuck / Marta.
  * Rare salvage and mythic catalog pieces (angel blades, hunter relics, …) mail to Curio Lux at the Post Office (mail ship) -- he lists them on his traveling wagon (list when he is on your square). Pawn desks also consign those pieces (plus magi reagents and hunter combat kit) when you sell there.
  * pickpocket lifts wallet cash from townsfolk, sneaky street marks, and other players when you are hidden or practiced. Cadence scavengers only lift from peaceful NPCs -- never players or Echoes. Wanted when witnessed.

Vampire note: drain fills a bag; drink the bag for guise-safe fuel (help drink). Living feeds (hunt / bite / kill-drain) are a different path and still need true form. Croatoan vials are NOT bags of blood — Vampires refuse them; awakened Special Children use harvest <body> (help special-child). Dead man's blood is hunter toxin from a corpse (tap / scavenge dmb) -- it seizes vampires, it is not grocery fuel (help dmb).

Djinn note: siphon fills a vial once per body; drink the vial for guise-safe essence or bottle essence when sated to sell at the Nest (help djinn | help bottle). Living ensnare feeds are richer than bottled stock.

Carrion note: Wendigo and Ghoul (players and Cadence hostiles) prefer eating unburied bodies whole (help feast / help wendigo / help ghoul) -- that destroys the corpse. Moss still buries; Pike still scavenges leftovers when they get there first.
