djinn -- the Mirage economy Mirage predators who trap living minds in a private false world and feed on their essence while the body sleeps in the real place. Learn Mirage. You share the supernatural fuel tank (help fuel) -- that tank *is* your hunger and thirst. Mortal food and water do nothing; ensnare and drain. New Djinn wake in the Misty Veil Psychic Parlor with Haze's First Weave lesson -- talk Haze, then form, then miragedrift (help tutorial). How you play 1. form true form (needed to ensnare someone who is awake) 2. ensnare trap a weaker mortal mind -- hunters count; sleep is secret, not a skip 3. miragedrift solo top-up to the weave gate only -- not a stockpile (help miragedrift) 4. siphon cork dream-residue from an unburied body once (help siphon) 5. drink a vial of essence from the Nest when broke (guise-safe) 6. bottle essence cork spare fuel into a trade vial when sated (help bottle) 7. scramble mid-fight touch hallucination (help scramble) 8. coatblood wet a silver knife with lamb's blood for a true kill (help djinn) 9. (feed) essence drains every tick while they are trapped 10. entermirage optional -- stalk them inside for a richer feed 11. leavemirage return beside their sleeping husk 12. release end the weave (or an ally can wake the husk) Top stats lean PRE / FOC / FIN. When you cannot weave yet, drink a vial of essence (Rat's Nest, same shelf as blood), siphon one from an unburied body (help siphon), or hold miragedrift for a solo top-up to the weave gate only (help miragedrift). After a rich feed, bottle essence into glass to sell (help bottle). Essence sustains you: when your tank is comfortably full, exhaustion stays low without bed rest -- ensnare and drain still tire you briefly, but feeding pulls weariness back down (help needs | help rest). The captive walks what looks like the same streets -- empty of other people -- with no special tell that it is false. Works on Echoes. Offline Djinn Echoes keep the loop via Cadence. Top stats lean PRE / FOC / FIN. Kill method (SPN): a silver blade dipped in lamb's blood -- not decap alone. Hunters coat a silver knife with coatblood (or carry a vial and dip mid-fight). The coat lasts for one true kill, then you must smear again. Sleeping prey can be taken secretly -- no form, no room tell (they already look asleep) -- but they still have to be weaker mortals, and a strong will can shove the poison off. Cadence Djinn with the opportunist personality prefer sleepers. Allies see a sleeping form and can drag or wake it.
