momentum -- fight tempo gauge (spends on tactics and ultimates) Usage: momentum show your current Momentum and what you can spend How you play 1. attack and land exchanges until Momentum builds 2. type momentum mid-fight to check the gauge (and what you can afford) 3. press / guard / feint when you have enough (help tactics) 4. At 76+ Momentum, unleash for a guaranteed signature strike 5. disengage or leaving the room resets the gauge Momentum is a -100..100 fight resource (usually climbing from 0). It builds when you win exchanges -- land hits, keep pressure, and swing with the tempo. It does not carry between fights: a new attack, spar, or disengage resets it to zero. Momentum does not change whether your swings land. To-hit comes from the reaction roll (miss / dodge / parry / block / crit / hit) fed by Focus, Finesse, Power, and Resonance -- help reactions. Momentum is what you spend once you are in the fight. What spends it (charged when the swing resolves, not when you queue): press ~25 Momentum -- all-in damage this swing (help tactics; cost can shift with FIN/PRE) guard ~15 Momentum -- block the next blow that hits you; vs an ultimate becomes Perfect Guard (help perfectguard) weave partial spend on a landed synergy strike (help synergy) protect successful ally intercepts cost Momentum unleash ALL Momentum at 76+ for your signature ultimate (help unleash) Prompt / client: the Human factory default includes %Mo and %Tg (they omit out of fight). Add them to custom prompts if you trimmed the default. GMCP Char.Vitals includes momentum for Mudlet gauges. See also: help tactics | help unleash | help clash | help combat
