logout / quit -- leave without deleting your character Logging out does not erase you. Your body stays in the world as an Echo -- Cadence can still live, work, and get hurt into Town Clinic, but nobody loots or deletes you for disconnecting. How you play 1. logout soft detach -- character select on the same connection (no reconnect) 2. quit hard disconnect -- closes the telnet session 3. Your body becomes an Echo in the same room either way (help echo) 4. Pick another character (or the same one) from the login / account menu If your body is linked to an account, logout jumps you straight into that account's character pick on the same connection (no password re-entry). Otherwise use the name prompt or type account. Idle mode is the softer AFK cousin (help idlemode / help autoidle). To permanently erase a character on purpose (not logout), see help delete.
