delete -- permanently erase THIS character (password + confirm)
Logout and quit leave your body as an Echo. delete is different: it offers the character to the Empty -- the silence before Creation -- and the world forgets you. Inventory, progress, and the login name go with the body. This cannot be undone.
How you play
1. Be sure. Prefer logout if you only want to leave for a while (help logout / help echo).
2. delete <password> confirm
Example: if your password is hunter66 --
delete hunter66 confirm
3. Read the Empty farewell. If you have an account with other characters, you return to character select. Otherwise the connection closes.
4. That login name can be used again later for a new character.
You must type your character login password and the word confirm on the same line. Bare delete only prints the syntax; a wrong password refuses and changes nothing.
Refused (nothing is erased)
- Missing password or missing the word confirm -- you only see usage
- Wrong password
- No password set yet -- setpass first
- GM form / staff spirit -- gm off to your play body first
- Immersion cast, essential fixtures, NPCs, husks
