clothing -- layered clothes under armor; cosmetic gear restring Clothes are a separate layer from combat gear. Armor and weapons still use equip / unequip (one piece per slot). Clothes use the same slot names but stack: you can wear a tee under flannel under a jacket. How you play At create, pick a starting outfit or skip for road casual (help clothing). clothes -- list what you are wearing (inner → outer). wear <item> -- put on clothing (adds as the outer layer). wear <item> under -- slide it under existing clothes on that slot. remove <item> -- take off one worn piece. remove <slot> -- peel the outermost layer on that slot. restring <item> -- inspect clothes traits, or armor/jewelry cosmetics. restring <item> name <text> restring <item> desc <text> restring <item> color <style role> Clothes only (not armor/jewelry): restring <item> material <id> restring <item> warmth warm|neutral|cold restring <item> cover add|clear <region> restring <item> conceal add|clear <tag> restring <item> dirty on|off Armor and jewelry Same name / desc / color edits work on equipped or carried armor and jewelry so you can personalize how they look. Combat stats, soak, and folklore materials stay fixed -- restring never changes those. Slots: head, over, about, neck, body, arms, hands, finger, waist, legs, feet (weapon and shield stay combat-only for equip; shield/armor can still take cosmetic restring). Shroudable cloaks on the over slot can be drawn with shroud / unshroud (help concealment). Look / examine show a Clothes: block (separate from Worn: armor). When you wear multiple layers on the same body region, look lists them outer → inner (for example: jacket over a plain tee). Wear refuses a spot that is already filled at the same layer depth. Dirty clothes are tagged [dirty] in plain text -- meaning never by color alone. Hooks for laundry, weather soak, and appearance bonuses are reserved for later; restring's dirty / warmth / cover / conceal traits are ready now for clothes; armor/jewelry cosmetics use name / desc / color. Shop and craft Hattie's Threads (Main Street block 3, west off the street) sells ready-to-wear and sewing supplies, including the heavy travel cloak for the over slot (buy travel_cloak from Hattie, or sew travel_cloak with fabric and thread at the tailor bench).
