recruit -- ask Dean or Sam to ride along for a while Close-tie beckon (help beckon) still works if you are already family or friends with them. This verb is the hunter handshake for anyone in the room: they will tag along until the case is done, a timebox ends, or you send them back on the road. How you play 1. Stand in the same room as Dean or Sam 2. recruit dean or: ask dean to help 3. recruit sam for 3 hours optional timebox (game hours) 4. unrecruit dean or: release dean send them back on the road 5. They peel off on their own after your hunt/haunt/dungeon is done They will refuse if they already caught a case, are locked up, hurt, or riding with someone else. Busy line is in-character -- try them after. While they ride with you they pause touring hunter boards around the country; releasing them puts them back on that circuit. Dean or Sam may ask you first (type recruit dean if you want them along -- it does not auto-bond you). If you are already friends with them, they may call you for backup when about to hunt alone -- same handshake. Hunt, haunt, or dungeon with them enough times (or pull them out of a bad spot) and they may start calling you a friend -- you do not have to type relate friend first. See help relationships.
