signatures -- Master+ Discipline utility techniques
Deep Mastery pays with utility, not raw damage (help combat). At Master rank (stronger at Grandmaster) some Disciplines unlock a signature move from the catalog.
How you play
1. skills / disciplines -- check your ranks.
2. Reach Master+ on a Discipline that has a signature.
3. Fight or spar -- the technique can fire on hits or defenses.
What they do
Martial Arts -- Master+: chance to shrug incoming damage.
Grandmaster+: chance to disarm a wielded weapon on a hit (the defender's Weapon Mastery fights this; Grandmaster grip is nearly unbreakable).
Force Projection -- chance to recover stamina after a landing hit.
Martial Arts combo
When Martial Arts is your preferred fight style (help style), each connecting hit banks a stack (max 3). Stacks boost the next swing's damage and Grandmaster disarm odds. Misses, blocks, and leaving the scrap clear the combo.
Martial Arts chain
Unarmed Martial Arts also throws a second [FLURRY] beat after your primary swing each attack round (like dual wield's offhand follow-up).
Train Martial Arts rank to soften the chain's accuracy and damage penalties. Signature Path styles and ultimates skip the chain beat.
