dual_wield -- twin one-handed weapons Wield a one-handed weapon in each hand. Your primary weapon still drives engagement range and Weapon Mastery voice; each attack also throws a weaker offhand beat with its own to-hit roll. Dual wielding spreads your guard -- expect accuracy and evasion penalties until you train the open Dual Wield Discipline. How you play 1. learn dual_wield open school (Novice rank 0) 2. equip <blade> primary weapon hand 3. equip offhand <blade> second one-handed weapon 4. attack <foe> primary swing, then [OFFHAND] follow-up Vs two-handed: twin steel wins sustained offense (second beat + Dual Wield discipline) but pays spread penalties and cannot pair with a shield. A two-hander hits harder per swing, punches a slice of armor, braces blocks better, and avoids spread -- but gives up the offhand beat, cannot shield, and footwork suffers. Unarmed Martial Arts is a separate loadout (no steel, combo tempo + [FLURRY] chain beat, shield OK; dodge/parry/block can counter) -- see help equip and help mastery. Rules * Shields XOR offhand -- unequip one before the other. * Two-handed primaries refuse an offhand slot. * Shields refuse dual wield (offhand weapon) and two-handed primaries. * Mastery rank 0-4 softens spread and strengthens the offhand hit.
