balance -- town Good / Evil pressure

The whole town leans toward light or darkness. Kill a good character (or peaceful townsfolk) and the meter dips toward evil.
Kill an evil character, a Vampire hostile, or a wilderness / street monster NPC and it moves toward good. Lebanon Hospital injury care does not move the Tide -- only deaths and certain expulsions (banish, exile, exorcise, haunt clear) do.

As pressure rises soft mood text on score / time townsfolk cling to home; fear chatter more street Vampire spawns when evil is ahead
Hell nest Demons spill onto Earth for soul-hunts once the Tide is deep evil
(about -20 or worse); Angels only cross for the street war deeper still scout hunters answer as soon as evil is leaning (same band that puts Vampires on the streets); shadows tease once good is Critical+ scout hunters in force when evil is maxed -- or an eclipse and bigger evil when good is maxed (Vampires and Demons walk in daylight under eclipse)

Vampire injuries that land someone in Lebanon Hospital still draw hunter attention, same as a lethal town kill. Banishing or exiling a Demon, exorcising a Demon rider out of a host, or clearing a haunt also tip the meter toward good -- same weight as an evil kill. Extreme maxed pressure eases itself over time -- scouts keep answering, and after a hunter influx Vampire spawn pressure dips so the town can recover without waiting on players. While the town leans either way, ambient centering slowly pulls back toward even even during busy hunts; idle high pressure also eases faster when nobody is dying. Monster hunting still tips good, but only a few kills or purges per window count before the meter rests -- busy hunter nights no longer guarantee a sprint to max good. Active kills and purges still dominate short swings.
Your mood can sour when the other side is winning. Reputation (help reputation) is per-character; this meter is the town's shared pressure.
who and world show a World Tide bar (readable with color off) -- help tide and help world tide land here too. Type world for the full lore sheet (planes + Tide); GMs typing world still get the staff panel (help gmworld).
